Abused

Album · 12 songs

Rap about abuse in many forms: against children, within families, in relationships, financially and at work. You hear it in songs like "I Was Only Seven", "BLOOD DOESN'T MEAN SAFE", "THE MONEY WAS NEVER MINE" and "YOUR PERFECT EMPLOYEE". In the dark, cinematic "You Call It Love", carried by piano and cello, Truth Havoc tells the story of a woman who is controlled by her partner until she finally asks her sister to come and get her. The message is clear: love built on fear is not love.
