Magic Lumora Radio is run by Magic Lumora Records, which is owned by Henrik Kraak Jessen. Magic Lumora Records is the data controller for the personal data processed through magiclumora.com. Magic Lumora Records does not yet have a Danish CVR number. When we say “we” or “us”, we mean Magic Lumora Records. If you have any questions about your data, please write to us via the contact page or at maglumrec@gmail.com.
In short
- You do not need to create an account or log in, and we do not sell anything on the site.
- The only form is the contact form. What you write is sent to us by email and kept in our inbox at Google (Gmail). The site has no database for visitors or enquiries.
- We use no cookies, no statistics or analytics tools, no advertising and no tracking.
- The only thing the site may store in your browser is a small note about the language line (see “Language”). It is not a cookie.
- We have no newsletter and no waiting list.
- We never sell your data. We only use the service providers named below.
When you visit the site (hosting)
The site is hosted by Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., USA), which delivers the site to your browser and protects it against abuse. To do so, Cloudflare processes your IP address and technical details of the request, such as browser type and time. If the site fails to load, Cloudflare may ask your browser to send a technical error report (Network Error Logging). No report is sent when the site works normally.
- Purpose: to deliver the site securely and reliably.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
- Cloudflare is our data processor. We do not store this information ourselves. Read more in Cloudflare's privacy policy.
The radio (content from Radio.co)
Magic Lumora Radio is broadcast by Radio.co (Radio.co (UK) Ltd, Manchester, United Kingdom). For the radio to work, your browser fetches content directly from Radio.co:
- When you open the home page: the title and artist of what is playing now and the list of recently played songs are fetched from
public.radio.coabout every 30 seconds while the page is open. The cover image is fetched frommedia.radio.co. - When you press “Listen live”: the audio stream is fetched from
streaming.radio.co. It only starts when you press play.
Radio.co therefore receives your IP address and technical details about your browser. According to Radio.co's own privacy policy, listeners' IP addresses are used to estimate an approximate location for royalty reporting and are anonymised before they are stored. Radio.co sets no cookies through our site.
- Purpose: to play the radio and show what is playing.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in being able to broadcast the radio to you (Article 6(1)(f)).
- Read more in Radio.co's privacy policy.
The contact form
When you send the contact form, your name, your email address, the subject (if you write one) and your message are sent to us by email to maglumrec@gmail.com. The email is sent by Cloudflare (Cloudflare Email Routing) and is then kept in our inbox at Google (Gmail) so that we can read and answer it. If we reply, we also do so from Gmail. The site does not store your message anywhere else.
To stop spam, Cloudflare briefly counts how many messages are sent from the same IP address. This happens in memory only, for no more than one minute. Your IP address is not included in the email, and we do not store it.
- Purpose: to answer your enquiry and keep the form free of spam.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and preventing abuse (Article 6(1)(f)). If your enquiry concerns an agreement with us, such as a licence, the legal basis is also that we can enter into or perform that agreement (Article 6(1)(b)).
- Retention: the email stays in our Gmail inbox, and we delete it when we no longer need it to answer or follow up on your enquiry. You can always ask us to delete it sooner. If the enquiry leads to an agreement, we keep it for as long as the agreement applies and for as long as the law requires, for example the Danish Bookkeeping Act.
- Writing to us is voluntary. However, we cannot reply without an email address.
Who receives your data?
We only share your data with the service providers we use to run the site:
- Cloudflare (hosting, sending the email and spam protection), as our data processor.
- Google (Gmail, our email). In the EU/EEA, Google's services are provided by Google Ireland Limited.
- Radio.co (radio stream and “now playing”) receives the data directly from your browser, as described above.
We do not sell your data or use it for marketing.
Transfers outside the EU/EEA
Cloudflare and Google are US companies, so your data may be processed in the USA. Such transfers are based on the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Both Cloudflare, Inc. and Google LLC are certified under it, and you can see their certifications here: Cloudflare · Google.
Radio.co is based in the United Kingdom. The European Commission has decided that the UK provides an adequate level of protection (adequacy decision).
Language
The site is available in English and Danish. You choose the language with the flags at the top of the page, and the language follows from the address (Danish pages are under /da/). We never redirect you automatically based on your language or location. If your browser is set to Danish, we show a small line on the English pages saying that the site is also available in Danish. If you close that line or switch language with the flags, your browser stores the value dismissed in its local storage (localStorage, key ml-lang-hint), so the line does not appear again. It is not a cookie. It stays on your own device, is not sent to us or anyone else and is not used for tracking. You can delete it by clearing the site data for this site in your browser.
Your rights
You have the right:
- to access the data we hold about you;
- to have incorrect data corrected;
- to have your data erased;
- to have processing restricted;
- to object to processing based on our legitimate interest;
- to receive your data in a commonly used, machine-readable format (data portability), where the processing is based on an agreement with you.
Write to us via the contact page or at maglumrec@gmail.com if you want to use any of these rights. We will reply within one month at the latest. We make no automated decisions about you and carry out no profiling.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet).
